Data privacy for products using the ISG (internet service gateway)

"Stiebel Eltron" means Stiebel Eltron GmbH & Co. KG, a company registered in Germany under registration number HRA 110363 and having its registered address at Dr.-Stiebel-Straße, 37603 Holzminden, Germany;

"We, us, our" means Stiebel Eltron;

"You" means you as the user of the Stiebel Eltron products.

I General
We lay great emphasis on the privacy protection of our product’s users and therefore abide by the legal regulations of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and the German Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (Federal Data Protection Act ) during the survey, use and processing of personal and product-related data.

II Safety of your data
We appreciate the confidence which consumers place in our products. We therefore treat all data which you entrust to us with the utmost care.

Stiebel Eltron uses technical and organizational security measures in order to protect the personal and product-related data we administrate against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction as well as against access by unauthorized persons. We steadily improve our security measures according to the technological development.

III Survey and use of personal and product-related data
Principally you can use the internal website of the Internet Service gateways without transmitting personal or product-related data.

Stiebel Eltron only raises, processes or memorises product-related or personal data once you have agreed to such use. All personal and product-related data will only be used as permitted by the relevant legal regulations.

If you agree to the data survey, functional data of your Stiebel Eltron products will be permanently transmitted via ISG to Stiebel Eltron.
The survey and processing of these data is only done to provide the functionality, quality assurance as well as the permanent improvement of our products.

Only data which is automatically provided by you is stored.
Our servers and databases are protected by present security systems (password, firewalls etc.), so that no unauthorized person can get access.

IV Transmission of personal and product-related data to third parties
We use an external service provider to carry out maintenance and quality assurance services regarding Stiebel Eltron products.

In addition to the internal use and storage of the transmitted data you hereby agree to the transmission of personal, non-personal and product-related data to third parties.
These third parties are solely contract partners of Stiebel Eltron, e.g. out of the range industrial art, trading, construction and energy services. When any data is transmitted to a third party we will provide you with the details of the relevant party.
There will be no transmission of personal data to a third party which are not related to your Stiebel Eltron product.

The transmission of your data will only be carried out to provide the functionality, quality assurance as well as the permanent improvement of our products.

Personal data will not be transferred to government bodies or public authorities except in order to comply with mandatory national legislation or if it should be necessary to take legal action or criminal prosecution in cases of fraudulent access to our network infrastructure.
Stiebel Eltron will not transfer your data for any purpose other than as set out in this Policy.

You are entitled to request details of your personal data which we hold and furthermore you have a right that any errors be corrected, blocked or deleted.
